To all to whom these presents shall come or may concern, Greetings

Whereas John Pearman late of the town of St. Georges, Mariner, died without making any kind of will or testament in writing and his Estate **** administered AND WHEREAS Mary Pearman of the town of St. George afroesaid widow and [relect ]of the deceased hath humbly prayed for administration of the said Estate being ready to give [sufficient] security truly to administer as the S******* c**** hath provided and directed and also as publication hath been lately made and the case appears to the contrary. NOW THEREFORE KNOW ye that the President and Ordinary aforesaid have committed and by these presents commits [authorize] and [allow] the said Mary Pearman the administration of all and singular the goods chattels and personal Estate of him the said John Pearman whereof or wherein he was possessed or interested and which shall come into the possession or knowledge of her the said Mary Pearman or any other for her and do hereby authorize her the said Mary Pearman to be administratix hereby charging her that on Oath she do make or *** to be *** a true and perfect Inventory or account in writing of all and singular of the same goods, chattels and personal Estate and futhermore cause to valued and appraised by three more honest and indifferent persons by me the President and Ordinary aforesaid to be appointed and allowed and the same Inventory and appraisment so made and futhermore the said administratix is to exhibet in writing to the Secretary of these Islands within fifteen days next [arising] and also that she render unto me or my ****** a full and true account of the said administration and all her doings and proceedings therein on Oath *** thereunto Required of the said administratix always indemnifying me the President and Ordinary aforesaid my ****** and Ministersfor and in respect of the ******.
