Upon complaint of Mary Pearman against her husband Edward Pearman of [Devon.] Tribe that the P. Pearman had in an extraordinary manner beaten his said wife as appeared by the Oath or Mr. John Barnes and others, The right Honourable the Governor taking into consideration with the advice of two other justices of the law that the said Pearman having been formerly a most notorious breaker of the law and having undergone several punishments and hath also been in open court of late and proclaimed infamous do therefore order that the said Pearman shall depart these Islands by the first opportunity to any of her Majesty's plantations and in the meantime to be committed unto the Marshall or his deputy's custody.
