The Paule, the Goulden Ffalcon & the Jamaca factor

The conquest of Jamaica by Cromwell's forces in 1655 was followed by endeavors to introduce settlers. Passengers that went 1/5/1657/8  from Bermuda bound for Jamaica as planters arrived a few months before the final defeat of the Spaniards by Col. D'Oyley in Jul 1658.  "Capt'n John Wentworth Com.der of the Paule and Cap'n Benjamin fformase Comander of the Goulden ffalcon... Anthony Peniston sailed forth wth those shipes abovesd in his small vessell called the Jamaca Factor. And Benjamin Downeinge went seaman wth him."
