In the name of God, Amen, the twenty eighth day of May Anno Dni 1706, I Judith Hutchings of Smith's Tribe in the Island afores'd, widdow being very sick and weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory praised be to God for the same and considering the uncertainty of this transitory life and that all flesh must yield unto death when please God to call and being desirous to settle things in order to make this my last will and testam' in manner and form following.

First and principally I commend my soul to Almighty God my creator assuredly believing that I shall receive full pardon and free remission of all my sins and be saved by the precious death and merits of my blessed saviour and redemer Christ Jesus and my body to the earth from whence it was taken to be buried in such decent and christianlike manner as to my ex:or hereinafter named shall be thought fitt and convenient and as touching such worldly estate as the Lord in mercy hath sent me my will and meaning is that the same shall bee imployed and bestowed as hereafter by this my will is expressed.
