In the name of God, Amen, I Joseph Hinson of Smith's Tribe, being in perfect health and of sound mind and memory, but considering the uncertainty of human life, do make and ordain this my last will and testament as follows. Viz.

Imprimis. I will and order that all my just debts be paid and after the discharging thereof, I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Margaret Hinson during her widowhood all my real and personal estate upon condition that she my said wife maintain and provide for all such of my children as are minors during their nonage, and until they my said children namely, Joseph Hinson, Patsy E C Hinson, Bernard Albouy Hinson, and Peggy Glaspy Hinson severally arrive to the age of twenty one years, and after the death of my said wife, I give and bequeath all my estate real and personal to be equally divided among all my children namely, Nicholas Hinson, Joseph Hinson, Patsy E C Hinson, Bernard Albouy Hinson, and Peggy Glaspy Hinson and to their heirs and assigns forever, should one of my children die without lawful issue before there is a lawful division of my estate, then in such caase such child or children's part to be equally divided among my then surviving children or their heirs upon an equal division each share and share alike.

Item. It is my will and desire that if my wife should intermarry, that my personal estate be inventoried and appraised according to law, one third part thereof I give and bequeath unto my loving wife aforesaid, the other two thirds of such personal estate together with the whole of my real estate, I give among my then surviving children and their heirs and assigns forever upon an equal division each alike, but if any of my children should die leaving issue, it is my will that the issue of such child or children should have the part such child or children would have been entitled to if living.

Lastly. I do hereby nominate and appoint my dear and loving wife Margaret Hinson executrix and my sons Nicholas Hinson and Joseph Hinson and Mr Paynter Musson executors to this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former will or wills by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this third day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eight.

I do hereby certify that this 5th day of November 1810, before the President and Ordinary aforesadi, personally appeared Mr John Vickers one of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing instrument of writing, who solemnly made oath on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God, that he saw the testator Mr Joseph Hinson late of Smith's Parish in these islands deceased, sign, seal, and duly execute the same as and for his last will and testament, and that at the time of such execution he, the said testator was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, according to the best of his, the deponent's judgement. And that he also saw Mr John Albouy and Mr Spofforth Bascome subscribe their names as witnesses thereto.
In testimony whereof I the President and Ordinary aforesaid, have hereunto set my hand and seal at Arms the day and year above written.
