Will of Sir John Harvey of London, knight, being bound upon a sea voyage.

H M the King owes him 5005 pounds as the account of Mr Orator Bingley and Sir Paule Pindar shows.

Several debts are due to testator in Virginia, to a total of 2000 pounds,

(An account of the King's debt, and an inventory of the debts in Virginia, are described as "annexed")

Testator acknowledges debts of 1000 pounds to Tobias Dixon, citizen and haberdasher of London, and 200 pounds to Mr Nickolls of London, ironmonger.

Names aforesaid Tobias Dixon to be sole executor.

To Ursilla his eldest daughter 1000 pounds.

To his daughter Anne 1000 pounds.

The daughters may inherit each other's portions, but if both fail to inherit, these legacies are specified:

To his nephew Symon Harvey, eldest son of his late brother Sir Simon Harvey, knight of London, 500 pounds; and 200 pounds to each of the two daughters of the said Sir Simon.

To the poor of the parish of St Dunstan's in the West, London, 400 pounds.

The remainder of the daughters' portions to Tobias Dixon.

If the daughters inherit, each shall give Dixon 5 pounds.

Any remaining estate to be divided a half between his daughters Ursilla and Anne, a half to Tobias Dixon.

Signed 15 Sept 1646. Witness Miles Armdall, Henry Waagstaffe, Tho. Smith, servant to Arthur Tirrey, Sir Tho. Bland, Roger ___. (They testify this is testator's last will and testament (without Mr Orator Bingley his accompt, or a particular of his debts hereunto annexed.)

Probate 16 July 1650 to Alicia Dixon, relict and executrix of Tobias Dixon, who was executor of Sir John Harvey, deceased abroad, unmarried.
