Whereas John Eveson late of Devonshire Parish in these Islands died
without making any last will or testament in writing and his estate _____
and _____ administered on. And whereas Elias J Eveson testified for administrator
on the said estate and was entered into bond with sufficient securities, ___ to ___
the said in such cases hath provided the ordered ___ also due publication
having been lately made. Thereof ___ no cause appearing to me to the contrary. Now therefore
know ye that I have committed and by these presents as writ authorize and allow him the said
Elias J Eveson the administration of all and singular the goods, chattles and personal
estate of the said John Eveson deceased, whereof or wherein he was possessed or interested,
one which shall come ___ possession or knowledge of the same Elias J Eveson or any
other for him, and I do hereby charging him that on oath he do take or cause to be made a
true and perfect inventory of all and singular the goods (the rest of the document too faded to read)...
