DUNSCOMB, John

will dated 15 Jul 1777

Bermuda. In the name of God, Amen, I John Dunscomb of the town of St George Mariner being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory, blessed be God, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following .... viz I will that all my just debts & funeral expenses be fully paid and satisfied.

Item. I give and devise all that my part or proportion of the late dwelling house and land thereto adjoining and belonging to my late father Jonathan Dunscomb unto my dear wife Sarah to hold to her said wife  for and during her natural life only and from and immediately after her decease then I give and devise the same my proportion or part of the same house and land unto my sister Elizabeth to hold to her the said Elizabeth and to her heirs & assigns forever.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my said dear wife Sarah all my personal estate of what nature or kind soever or wheresoever to hold to her the said Sarah and to her heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns for ever.

Lastly. I hereby constitute and appoint my said dear wife to be executrix of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills and testaments by me at any time hereafter made hereby ratifying allowing and confirming this and none other to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I the said John Dunscomb have hereunto set my hand and seal this fifteenth day of July in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and seventy seven.

Signed sealed published announced and declared by the said testator as and for his last will & testament, in the presence of us, who at his request have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.
