Somer Islands als Bermuda Sept:ber ye 13:th 165(5?)

In the name of God, Amen, the last will and testament of John Darrell Sen'r of Warwike tribe ___, at this present being sick and weake of body, but of perfect reason and memory. In manner and forme as followeth. viz.

Ipr. I bequeath my soul to Allmighty God my creator confidently and stedfastly believing to receive remission of sins and finally everlasting life in and through the merritts suffering and satisfaction of my blessed saviour and redeemer ye Lord Jesus Christ.

2ly. I give my body to ye earth from whence it came to have christian buriall. My debts and funerall charges being first satisfied and paied.

Thirdly I do give and bequeath my truly loving wife Mary Darrell ye dwelling house and two shares of land ye halfe of which is now in my possession she ____ all things according the codicil of my ffather Capt John Darrell's last will and testament the which said share of land My will is she my said loveinge wife shall enjoy dureing her naturall life. But if she bee by Gods blessing bee other ways provided for then my will is that my son More Darrell either at her decease or before shall have the said share of land with the dwelling house to whom I give it and his heires forever.

Ffourthly I give unto my eldest sonn John Darrell my storehouse and ye halfe acre of land with the wharf hereunto belonginge which was given to mee by my ffather Capt John Darrell lying at Heron Bay in Southampton Tribe fo.

Ffifthly for the rest of my personall estate (except a molatto girle called Hannah wch belongs to my eldest daughter Mary Darrell) I give and bequeath one halfe to my loving wife Mary Darrell. And ye other halfe to bee divided equally amongst my children, my wife bringing upp and maintaining my children out of her estate.

Sixthly I doo make and appoint my loveing wife Mary Darrell my executrix and my ffather in law Mr George More my executor and them both joyntly and severally to bee overseers of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seale the day and yeare first above written.

A true and perfect account of the personall estate of the late Cap:t John Darrell of Pagetts Tribe in the Somer Islands als Bermudas which was brought to ye view of the appraisers and inventored by them whose names are underwritten.
(included merchants goods and household items, storehouses, workhouse, house at Heron Bay, pewter, coin and slaves (4) totally in value L 554:11:04)
