In the name of God, Amen, I John Beek of Pembroke Parish in the islands of Bermuda, ship carpenter, being in a weak state of health, but of sound mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following:

Item: My will and desire is that such part of my personal property as is necessary may be sold to pay all my just debts.

Item: I give and bequeath all the negroes I now am possessed of, that is to say Mall, Beek, Jane, Rachel, Nancy, Ned(sp?), Joane, ____ and Frank, if neither of them is sold for the purpose before mentioned to all and each of my children to be divided equally amongst them.

Item: After all my just debts are paid and satisified which I desire may be as soon as my executors herein named can do it conveniently, I bequeath the residue of my personal estate equally amongst my said children share and share alike.

Lastly: I hereby nominate and appoint my trusty friends Joseph J Outerbridge and John Canton joint executors of this my last will and testament requesting them to assist and cause the same to be fully and truly executed.

In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal the fifteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and fifteen.
