In the name of God, Amen, the fourth day of Aprill in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eleven, I Thomas Atwood of the parish of St Georges in the island of Bermuda being very sick but of perfect mind and memory, therefore calling to mind that is appointed for all men to dye, do make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to say principally and in the first place I give and recommend my soul to God that gave it, and my body to be decently buried at the discretion of my executors not doubting but at the generall resurrection, I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God and as vouching my wordly estate, I give and dispose of the same in the following manner.

Imprimis: I give and bequeath my share of land in Smith's Tribe with the house thereon to my well beloved wife Honora Atwood to have and enjoy the same during her naturall life and at her decease to my son Edward Atwood and to his heirs for ever alwfully begotten and in case he dye without issue as aforesaid, then I give it to my son Thomas and his heirs for ever, lawfully begotten and for default of issue to my son Anthony and his heirs lawfully begotten and in case he dye without issue as aforesaid, then I give the same to my son William and his heirs for ever and my will is further that my wife have liberty to cutt as much timber off from the said land if is suitable as may serve toward ___ as the roof now intended by me to be built.

Item: I give to my son Edw.d my moletto boy called Jacob instead of the negro girl called Sue given him sometime since by his grandmother White and since disposed of by me which said moletto boy shall be his whole sare of all my personal estate.

Item: I give to my son William my negro boy called Willy. And to my daughter Honora I give my negro boy called Ephram.

Item: My will is that my part of the little sloop now on the ___ after she is finished. And my part of the house and land now in possession of William DavisJunr as tenant thereon be sold by my executors for the payment of my debts. And for the rest of my personal estate of what kind soever I give & bequeath to my wife during her life for & towards the bringing up of my children and after her decease the same to be equally divided betwixt all my surviving children excepting my son Edward or any of my other sons who shall succeed him to my share of land aforesaid.

And also my will is that my said wife Honora, my son Edward and my brother in law Jno. Dickinson be executors to this my last will in witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seal the day and year above written.

These are to certifie that this twelfth day of May 1718 personally appeared before me John Wingood, Mary Newton and Ann Newton whom have subscribed their names as witnesses to the will and testament within written and solemnly made oath on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God, that they respectively saw the within mencioned Thomas Attwood the testator sign seal and execute the within written will and testament as his last, And att the time of doing thereof he the said testator was of sound and disposing mind and memory. In testimony whereof I have hereunto sett my hand the day & year first above written.
