Minutes of HM Council: 12 February 1694

Att the Court of Chancery held at the Sessions House in St Georges on Monday the twelveth day of February in the yeare aforesaid.

Present His Excellency & Council as before.

Be itt remembered that this day Lewis Johnstone an infant by his Guardians Capt Richard Peniston & Capt Edward Johnstowne exhibitted their bill of compet. against More Darrell an infant by his Guardian Daniel Keele Dft, about one share of land with appurtenances in Pembrook Tribe.

Now upon hearing the Titles of both parties and their allegations and proffes itt is ordered and adjudged that the title and right of the said Lewis Johnstowne to the share of land in question is good. And that he the said Lewis and his heires do quietly enjoy the same to him the said Lewis and his heires for ever accordingly and also ordered that the dft pay the charge of this court.

Upon which decree the said Daniel Keele as guardian craved and appeale to their Sacred Majties and Council in England, which was granted.

Att the same court:

Kesiah Mallery relict and executrix of the last will and testament of Peter Mallery her late husband deceased exhibitts a bill of complaint against William Wilkinson for a share of land in Pagitts Tribe in Wilkinson's possession to which hee exhibitts his plea in abattment And upon argueing the matter this day before this honoble Court. Itt is ordered and adjudged that the said bill of complaint of the said Kesiah bee hence dismist. And that she pay the costs of this court.
