Minutes of HM Council: Monday, 19 November 1694

Att the Court of Chancery holden att the Sessions house in St Georges on Monday the nineteenth day of November in the yar of our Lord 1694.

Be it remembered that now here appears in Court Thomas Fforster and Kesiah his wife lately the widd. of Peter Mallory deced and exhibitts their demurr and exceptions to the anser of William Wilkinson here also exhibitted and who also here appeared.

Now upon hearing the said matters the said parties It is by this court ordered that the bill and answer of the said parties formerly exhibitted to this court and all the demurrs and exceptions thereabout had; Be wholly dismissed And that the parties; begin their Proceedings on a New, without any reflections coming to the meritt of the cause Eache Party bearing his owne.

Att the same court:

Bee it remembered that this day appeare here the honoble. Nicholas Trott Esq plaintiff against Stephen Tynes of these islands dft upon a bill and answer here exhibitted about a negro called Joe, now in dispute bee delivered to the said Nicholas Trott within ten days now next comeing. And that the dft Tynes pay the costs of this court.

Att the same day:

Also appeared the said Nicholas Trott Esq complainant against Edward Johnstone Dft. and exhibitted his bill of complaint against him the said Edward concerning one negro slave called Sarah.

And now upon hearing of the debates and arguments of the said parties itt is by the court ordered and adjudges that the bill of the said Nicholas Trott be dismist and that the said Nicholas Trott pay a charge of this court.
