Minutes of HM Council: 19 September 1687
At a counsell held in the Sessions House Sept 19th 1687.

The Assembly convened.
The GovernE & Counsell examined the Secretary whether Capt White & his partner in Mr Lintells letter of attorneyship would proceed to prosecute Mr Thomas Cook the said Mr Lintells agent to which the Secretary replyed that when the three dayes were expired which the Counsell gave them to agree in he sent to know their minds therein, but had no answer so it is concluded they will proceed no further.
The proposals of setling the Militia for the safety of the Island and to raise two troops of horse to be in readiness in case of an invasion or insurrection were read to the Court in order to offering them to the Assembly which passed the approbation of the Court.
