Minutes of HM Council: 3 October 1727

Att a Council holden at the house of Mrs Margaret Zuill in St Georges the 3rd day of October 1727.

This day Coll John Trimingham and Andru. Auchinleck Esq made oath to an accnt of the liquor tax as securities to the late Maj Henry Tucker, Treasurer deceased.

This day Andru Auchinleck Esq made oath that two copys; one of His Excellency's commission as Govr and the other of Vice Admiral, were there copy'd from their originals; as did John Carter Clk of the Council and James Richardson Deputy Secretary to a copy of all His Excellency's thirtyth Gen Instruction one whereof was delivered to each of the present members, also the sd John Carter and James Richardson made oath that a copy of the minutes of Council contain'd in one hundred and fifteen pages were true copys from their orig'ls and Mr Saml Smith Secretary and the said James Richardson made oath that the copys of several papers and transactions contd in fifty six pages were true copys from their respective originals.

Passd and allowed John Carter Clk of the Council his bill of twentytwo pounds fourteen shillings and ten pence and ordered that the bill of this accont of the liquor tax of ten pounds eighteen shillings towards paying the same, and the remainder to be forthwith paid out of the Treasury, ordered that John Carter Clk of Council go before his departure for Great Britain deliver to the Honourable John Trimingham Esq President of the Council, and Comandr in Chief of these Islands in his Excellency's absence all the records and papers belonging to the Council now in his the said Clk's custody.
