Wednesday the first day of December 1714. The same Members Attended the Assembly (see 30 Nov 1714)

Att a Council  holden at the house of His Excellency the Governour in the Town of St Georges on Thursday the second day of December 1714.

Whereas of late there has bin a difference between Benjamin Bennett, Esqr late Governour of these Islands & Alexander Fornsbergh Attorney at Law, wherein the latter used several indecent expressions against the said Benjamin Bennett which occasioned the said Benjamin Bennett to beat the said Alexander Fornsbergh whereupon the said Fornsbergh Complained and Demanded the Security of the Peace against the said Benj. Bennett which affair coming to the Ears of His Majesties Council for these islands; they humbly represented to Henry Pulleine Esqr His Majesties Lieutenant Governour the indecency of binding his Immediate Predecessor to the Peace in case wherein he was so highly exasperated by the said Fornsbergh and offered to become Securities to his Excellency the Governour for the Behaviour of the said Benjamin Bennett, Esqr for one Twelve Months commencing from the fifth day of october 1714 ending the fifth of the said Month 1715 which said request His Excellency the Governour Consented unto it both exceeding reasonable and Decent and the Compalint thereby Sufficiently Secured of His Majesties Peace.

Whereas complaint hath to his Ex. the Govr. been made against Alexander Fornsbergh Attorney General of these Islands by His Majesties Council for several scandalouse expressions expressed and spoken to one Capt Green, Commander of his Majesties ship the Hazard Packet wherein he extremely scandalized the conduct of his Majesties Judges and Justices of the Peace of these Islands for which offence his Majesties said Council of these Islands humbly prays his Excellency the Governour that he may be not suffered to continue and act no longer Attorney General of these Islands, which request his Excellency the Governour consented to and granted.
