"Att a Councell Table held at St Georges ye 3rd August 1686. Then Present:-

Justices of the Peace.
The Rt Hon. Richard Cony offers to withdraw, but is desired to stay in court by ye Councell.
His Maties, letter touching articles exhibited by Willm. Milbourne & William Righton Senr., being read, also ye articles (against ye Rt Hon. Governor) the said Righton appearing pleaded he had no due time to answer etc. Ordered by ye Councell that His Majesties letter be published in ye severall tribes. William Righton Senr. being sworne to words spoke by Richd. Stafford, viz: let us joyne with one shoulder to shove this Governor out. Ye said Righton attested ye aforesaid words to be spoken by Richd. Stafford.

Memorand. Mr Richard Phillips, Mr Ffra. Jones, Mr Charles Walker sworne councellors."
