Notes
Henry Wyatt, jr., son of Henry Wyatt (b. 1647--d. 1705); married Alice
(???), and moved to Gloucester Co., later to New Kent Co., and in 1686
was a member of the Vestry of St. Peter's Parish. Henry was the son of
George Wyatt and Susannah R. (Baynham), his wife, elder son of Rev. Haute
Wyatt (a brother of Gov. Sir Francis Wyatt, b. 1594--d. 1638), minister
at Jamestown in 1621, and of his first wife, Elizabeth Mitford (d. 1626),
who lived at Middle Plantation in 1645;
George Wyatt was the son of George Wyatt (d. 1625) and Jane Finch, a
daughter of Sir Thomas Finch; son of Thomas Wyatt, jr. (b. 1520--d.
1554), and of Jane Haute, daughter of Sir William Haute of Kent; son of
Sir Thomas Wyatt, the Poet (1503-1542), and Elizabeth Brooke, daughter of
Thomas Brooke, Lord Cobham.

Eldest son of Haute (26) was probably the first Wyatt born in the New
World. He left Virginia but returned in 1639. Just after his father�s
death, while his uncle, Sir Francis, was still governor.
He settled in Gloucester County, Virginia, then moved to Kent County
where he had a properous cooperage business.
Was of "Middle Plantations" and Gloucester County, Virginia, went to
England with his parents in 1625, was reared and educated there but
returned in 1639. He patented lands in Williamsburg in 1642 and had among
other children, Henry (41) b 1647. George purchased, (with a George Lake)
on April 12th 1642, 400 acres in James City County.
He died prior to 1671/72 at which time "Henry Wyatt, son and heir of
George Wyatt of "Middle Plantations" deceased".
93 Richard 1650 -
Second son of (36). There was also a younger sister Susannah. Richard as
guardian of the son of Henry (92-) whose son was also called Richard, and
as Legatee of Henry recovered land for Alice, the widow.
Issue of George & Susannah R. (Baynham) Wyatt:
Henry, b. 1647, Richard, b. 1650 and "a younger sister, Susannah."
