IN HIS MAJESTY'S SURROGATE COURT OF THE COUNTY OF ELGIN BE IT KNOWN that on the thirtieth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and five the last will and testament of Margaret McLean late of the township of Aldborough, in the County of Elgin and Province of Ontario, Spinster, deceased, who died on or about the seventeenth day of March in the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and five at the township of Aldborough, in the County Of Elgin and who at the time of her death had a fixed place of abode at Aldborough in the said county of Elgin, was proved und registered in the said Surrogate Court, a true copy of which said last will and testament is hereunder written.

AND THAT the administration of all and singular the property of the said deceased and in any way concerning her will was granted by the aforesaid Court to Edward Ramsay of the Township of Aldborough in the county of Elgin, Farmer, and Margaret Ramsay of the same place, married woman executors named in the said will, they having been first sworn well and faithfully to administer the same by paying the just debts of the deceased and the legacies contained in her will so far as they are thereunto bound by law and by distributing the residue (if any) of the property according to law, und to exhibit under oath a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the said property and to render a just and true account of their executorship when thereunto lawfully required.

The last will and testament of Margaret McLean,

THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF me Margaret McLean of the Township of Aldborough in the County of Elgin and Province of Ontario, Spinster, being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made,

I DEVISE and bequeath all my real and personal estate of whatever nature any ready money or real or personal estate that I may inherit during y natural life or after my decease to Gilbert Ramsay son of Edward and Margaret Ramsay of the township of Aldborough aforesaid subject to the payment of all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses connected with the proving of this my last will and testament and also subject to and on the condition that Edward Ramsey and Margaret Ramsey shall have the sole use and benefit and control of my said real and personal estate of whatever nature bring their natural life or the survivor of them: and the said real estate shall be and is hereby willed to the said Gilbert Ramsey his executors administrator or assign to come into his possession after the death of the said Edward Ramsay and Margaret Ramsay or the survivor of them and I appoint the said Edward Ramsay and Margaret Ramsay to be my Joint executors, or the survivor or them of this my last will and testament, and I also enjoin my said executors to erect a monument at my grave of a value of not less than one hundred dollars.

Margaret McLean's will and testament continued.

This Grant is made upon the condition that no portion of the assets shall be distributed or paid during the war to any beneficiary or creditor who is a German, Austro-Hungarian, Turkish or Bulgarian subject or other Alien enemy wherever resident, or to anyone on his behalf, or to or on behalf of any person resident in Germany, Austria-Hungary, Turkey or Bulgaria, or other enemy Country of whatever nationality, without the express sanction of the Crown, acting through the Treasury, and if any distribution or payment is made contrary to this condition the Grant of Probate will be forthwith revoked.

 

THIS is the last will and testament of me HERMANN ADOLPHUS WEHLANN, of the township of Aldborough, in the County of Elgin, Farmer, and Province or Ontario, Farmer, made this nineteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

I Revoke all former wills or other testamentary dispositions by me at any time heretofore made and declare this only to be and contain my last will and testament.

I DIRECT all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses to be paid and satisfied by my executor hereinafter named as soon as conveniently may be after my decease.

I GIVE DEVISE AND BEQUEATH all my real and personal estate of which I may die possessed in the manner following that is to say:- I give to my son Augustus Wehlann my real estate, consisting of the south west quarter of lot number three in the twelfth concession of the township of Aldborough in the county of Elgin, containing fifty acres more or less.

OUT of the moneys payable under my Insurance Policy with the Canada Life Assurance Company of $1000. I give to my son Edward Wehlann the sun of five hundred dollars, and the balance I give to my son Augustus Wehlann.------

ALL the residue of my estate not hereinbefore disposed of I give devise and bequeath unto my children which shall be living at the time of my death share and share alike.

AND I nominate and appoint Augustus Wehlann, my son aforesaid, to be executor of this my last will and testament
