Members who wish to become

Volunteer Librarians



Library Policy


  to collect materials associated with the study of genealogy

  to promote ethical and accurate research practices

  to provide assistance to those who are interested in genealogy research



  The library shall be open to society members and the general public.

  Only those who are current society members shall have borrowing privileges.

  The term of borrowing shall be limited to one month for books and two weeks for journals.

  Various historical and current atlases and gazetteers

  "The Canadians" series - 1600-1900 (12 volumes)



  General Register Office - Great Britain - Birth, Marriage and Death Indexes 1837-1949 on microfiche

  Passenger lists - a growing collection of films for arrivals to Eastern Canadian Ports

  Complete 1988 IGI on microfiche



  1881 Canada Census

  1880 USA Census

  1881 British Census

  British Isles Vital Records Index

  British Isles National Burial Index

  Vital Records Index for Western Europe

  Scandanavia Vital Records

  Germans to America Passenger Lists

  1851 Census Indexes for various counties in England


Journals and Magazines:

  General Genealogy subjects

  Family History Society publications for numerous provinces, states and counties in several countries


Books, Books and more Books:

  A variety of publications covering various subjects related to genealogy including; historical accounts, cemetery transcriptions and passenger lists to name a few

  A number of countries are represented including; Canada, United States, England, France, Germany, Russia and more


Vertical and Clipping Files:

  Vertical files contain many extractions from old journals purged from the library.

  Clipping files are vital statistics extractions from the local newspapers.
