Confession Rolls

For those of you who are not familiar with Confessional Rolls, they have the genealogical application of a census, and include much of the same information... (i.e. Head of household, subsequent family members, their relationship to the head of house, their age, occupation, the neighborhood or street they resided in, and occasionally the address and sometimes other notes.  I even have found the father of an illegitimate ancestor in these rolls.  The priest walked and recorded the data house to house so you also can find info by seeing who they lived near or next to.

Velas & Beira:  Beira is included here and to view these Rolls, click here to request permission. You will be sent an email giving you permission to view these records.
