NEIVELS, Kelly M., Jr.

Kelly M. Neivels, Jr., 8, a third grader at Rio Vista School, was killed accidentally when a go-cart he was driving overturned Saturday on the abandoned South Mountain Speedway. He was born in Phoenix and lived here all his life. Parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kelly NEIVELS, Sr., and sister, Marla. Burial in East Resthaven Park. 1/5/1970.

NELSEN, Walter

Walter Nelsen, 48, a native of Cleveland, died in Las Vegas on Thursday, March 5, 1970. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict. He came to Phoenx in 1964 and recently transferred to Las Vegas with Orkin Exterminating Co., Inc. He died in Las Vegas. Wife, Mildred; daughter, Cathy; sons, Donald and Robert, all of Las Vegas; mother, Elizabeth NELSEN of Cleveland; three brothers and two sisters out of state. Burial in Resthaven Cemetery, Glendale. 3/7/1970.

NESSLAGE, Gus H.

11 Aug 1887 - 2 Mar 1970
Gus H. Nesslage, 82, died Monday, Mar. 2, 1970, in Lansing, MI. Until recently he lived at 1418 E. Monte Vista and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He was born in St. Charles, MO, and came to Phoenix in 1927 from Chicago. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Fred DORIS of Lansing; a son, Robert T. of Las Vegas; and a brother and two sisters out of state. Burial in Resthaven Cemetery, Glendale. 3/5/1970.

NEWMAN, Charles Albert

27 Apr 1879 - 1 Mar 1970
Laveen -- Charles Albert Newman, 90, who had farmed in the Laveen district since 1923, died Sun., Mar. 1, 1970, in Phoenix Memorial Hospital. Mr. Newman moved here from Globe where he had worked in the copper mines. He was born in Jamaica, West Indies, and came to Globe in 1915 from Arkansas. He was a member of the United Dairyment of Arizona, Laveen Co-op, Moose Lodge, and the Episcopal Church. Survivors include a son, Ivan, of Laveen; two sisters, Mrs. Hilda Wishmeyer of Globe and Mrs. Zuleminnie McNanmee of Los Angeles; one stepson and one step-daughter; and three grandchildren. Burial in East Resthaven Cemetery, Phoenix. 3/3/1970.
