EDDY, Mary E.

Globe -- Mary Elizabeth Eddy, 73, died Fri., Dec. 18, 1970, in Gila General Hospital. A native of England, she had lived here 46 years. Survivors include a son, Richard, San Manuel; three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Cox, Globe, Mrs. Johanna Wischnewski, Kearny, and Mrs. Khristine Fournier, Honolulu, HI; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Graveside services were in Globe Cemetery. 12/20/1970.

EGGLESTON, Fidelia B.

Fidelia B. Eggleston, 91, was born in Rushton, Michigan, and died Thurs., March 5, 1970, in the Glendale Nursing Home. She taught school in Michigan before she was married. She moved here five years ago from California. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Leslie S. of Phoenix and three grandchildren. Private interment, Glendale Memorial Cemetery. 3/7-9/1970.

ELLIS, Gwynn L.

Gwynn L. Ellis, 34, plant manager for the ... and Engineering Corp. at 3628 W. William, died yesterday in North Mountain Hospital. Mr. Ellis, of 6002 W. Fairmount, was a member of the Westside Church of Christ. Born in Texas, he came to Phoenix two years ago from Pittstown, Pennsylvania. Survivors include his wife, Frances; three daughters, Deborah, Patricia and Rhonda Ellis, all of Phoenix; four sisters and four brothers out of state. Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in A. L. Moore and Sons Mortuary, 333 W. Adams. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Tuesday, March 10, 1970, p. 22.

ELLSWORTH, James Clarence

Safford -- James Clarence Ellsworth, 84, who lived in Safford the past 23 years, died in his son's home in San Marino, California on March 7, 1970. He was born in Luna Valley, New Mexico. He was a banker and an accountant. Five sons, James, Elmo, Spencer, George, and T. C. of San Marino. Burial in Thatcher Cemetery. 3/8/1970.

EMERSON, Nellie S.

Scottsdale -- Nellie S. Emerson, 83, died March 1, 1970, in a local nursing home. She was born in Arkansas and came to Phoenix 22 years ago. Survivors include a son, C. A. Emerson of Scottsdale; four sisters, Mrs. Nettie Baker, Mrs. Freda Strahan, both of Heavener, OK, Mrs. Lynn Yarborough, Crossett, AR, Mrs. H. Adcock of McGehee, AR; and two grandchildren. Burial in Greenwood Memorial Park. 3/2/1970.

EMHOFF, Howard L.

1 June 1890 - 10 Dec 1970
Sun City -- Howard L. Emhoff, in the Army Air Corps as a personnel affairs officer in World War I, died Thurs., Dec. 10, 1970, in his home, 10725 W. Hatcher. Mr. Emhoff had been a manufacturer of scientific instruments. He was born in Providence, N.J., and came to Phoenix in 1967 from Fort Lauderdale, FL and lived in Sun City the past 18 months. Survivors include his wife, Ann V. Papendell Emhoff; two daughters, Shirley Emhoff of Phoenix and Mrs. Betty Green of New York City. Burial in Memory Lawn Cemetery, 719 N. 27th Ave. 12/12/1970.
