Tasmanian Convict List
The Tasmanian Convict List is an ongoing
project, being compiled to help researchers contact each other.
To go to the list please use the surname page links below. Each page gives
the e-mail facility to add your convict if you wish.
Some pages are getting rather large so please be patient as they may take a
while to load.
Note: This list is only for convicts who came to Tasmania (Van Diemen's Land).
If a convict came to NSW and, as a convict, then came to Tasmania it will list the ship to Tasmania not the ship to NSW.

The list contains: Convict name, ship, contact name and email address. This is not a complete list of the convicts who came to Tasmania, it is only a list of researchers of Tasmanian convicts.
Each convict ship listed is a link that will take you to information about the ship's voyage.
Please Note:
The ship's in this index have been numbered according to their voyages to Van Diemen's Land as per the Archives Office of Tasmania
numbering system in their Guide to Convict Records by Ship Reference.
Some secondary records may have listed the wrong transport ship as a reference, therefore it is always worthwhile double
checking with the CON series convict index. The spelling of some ships may differ e.g. Palmira = Palmyra and Pestonjee Bomanjee =
Pestongee Bomangee to name two.
