Mr. R. M. Mosby, of the firm of Echols, Johnson and Mosby, millers, formerly Henderson & Mosby, superintendent of the mill, while passing through the ruoom used as a planing mill, and which adjoins the main building, attempted to step over an iron shaft about a foot from the ground through which ower is furnished to teh cotton gin on the opposite side of the street, and the skirt of his long overcoat was caught by the shaft where it was coupled together, and in a moment he was thrown from his feet and battered to [can't make out]. He came to this city something over a year ago. . . His mother is living in Holley Springs, Miss. He leaves a wife and three small children to mourn his loss.
