Bailey, Sue Henderson - Sue Bailey, 69, of Hot Springs, died Sunday, May 19, 2002, at her residence.  She was born September 11, 1932, in Hot Springs.
She was a member of Grand Avenue United Methodist Church, a volunteer for the Red Cross for several years and also for Methodist Outreach.  She also was a member of Ester Circle, a loving mother and housewife.
She is predeceased by her husband, Edward "Puz" Bailey; father, Park Henderson; mother, Corine Leachman; and a brother, David Leachman.
Survivors include two sons, Lance Edward Bailey of Hot Springs and Bert Allen Bailey of Little Rock; two daughters and one son-in-law, Karen June Bailey and Deborah Lynn and Kenneth Howell of Lewisville, Texas; five grandchildren, Ali Bailey, Justin and Stephanie Bailey and Charles and Cheryl Howell; two step-grandchildren, Candy and Jason Meredith; a great-grandchild, Brooklyn Bailey; two step-great-grandchildren, Bailey and Sawyer Meredith.
Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Crooke and the Rev. John Miles officiating.
Burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Charles Howell, Justin Bailey, Tom Atkins, Frank Arnold, Robert Atchley, and Kenny Harris.

Baldwin, Betty Dean - Betty Dean Baldwin, 81, of Little Rock went to be with her Lord, October 22, 2006. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of almost 50 years, Ikey Baldwin. She was born on November 12, 1924, to Fulton and Elsie Mae Dean in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and had life-long ties to the community. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was an active and devoted member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church for over 40 years. She taught school at Fountain Lake and later the Pulaski County Special School District. She was active in the local chapter of Kappa Kappa Iota and received her BSE in 1950 from Henderson State College. She is survived by her son and his wife, Phillip and Janis Baldwin; two grandsons Joseph Baldwin and Matthew Baldwin; three granddaughters, Stephannie Baldwin, Jessica Baldwin and Kendra Baldwin, all of Little Rock; one brother, L. Norman Dean of Hot Springs Village; a brother-in-law, John Baldwin of Little Rock; two nephews, Leonard Dean of Mount Ida and Mike Baldwin of Conway; three nieces, Dona Scott, Connie Davilla, both of Little Rock, and Kathy Duggar of Atlanta, Georgia. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27, 2006, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel (501) 224-8300 with Dr. Paul R. Sanders officiating. Baldwin, Harold Woodroe - Harold Woodroe Baldwin, our beloved husband and father, 96, of Hot Springs died on Saturday, April 27, 2013, in Hot Springs. He was born on November 24, 1916, in Kaw City, Oklahoma, to the late Monroe Jefferson Baldwin and Laura Clubb Baldwin. He was a member of Park Place Baptist Church, a retired postal clerk and a veteran of the U.S. Army and a prisoner of war during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Davis Baldwin of Hot Springs, three daughters and two sons-in-law, Annette B. (Robert) Windham of Hot Springs, Kay (John) Sammons of Sherwood, Arkansas, and Jane Nora Baldwin of Waco, Texas, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hot Springs Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Park Place Baptist Church with Brother Coy Sample and Brother John Sammons officiating.
Pallbearers will be Joey Sammons, Rick Fields, Terry Jacks, Eric Russell, Harold Humphrey and Calvin Scott.

Bales, William C. "Bill" - William C. "Bill" Bales was born in Jonesboro to James L. and Lessie V. Bales on June 1, 1940. He died in Hot Springs on March 28, 2000, at the age of 59 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He is survived by a loving wife of 34 years, Cheryl Hand Bales; a brother and two sisters-in-law, Jack and Polly Bales and Nancy Phipps; two sons, Scott and Brian Bales; a daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Chris Crary; his grandchildren, Taylor Bales, Ashley Robertson, Eryn and John French and Stephanie Crary; his mother-in-law, Hazel Hand; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Bill spent many years in the insurance business and was an avid sports fanatic, especially of the Arkansas Razorbacks or any team Brian coached. He traveled to every corner of the state (or farther) to support each of his children and grandchildren in everything from games in football, baseball, softball and basketball to cheerleading.
He was also a gifted musician who won honors in college and continued to inspired others with his beautiful voice and musical abilities.
Bill was a devoted husband, a caring son and brother, a strong yet loving father, a kind and involved grandfather and a loyal friend. His love for his family and friends was second only to his love and commitment to Jesus Christ. He spent the last years of his life ministering to those he loved as well as strangers he came in contact with. Bill had perseverance for the Lord and he died a complete man.

Banfield, Sada Meek - Sada Banfield, 78, of Hot Springs died October 24, 2011. She was born September 30, 1933, in Hot Springs to J. Omer and Katie Radford Meek. She was a graduate of Brians Business School and retired as a bookkeeper with Hall Printers.
Sada was a member of Park Place Baptist Church. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, Robert Allen Banfield and daughter, Donna Banfield.
Survivors include her son, Robert David Banfield, of Vienna, Virginia and brother, Clyde Meek and his wife, Rosemary, of Georgia.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 27, 2011, at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.
Funeral services are 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 28, 2011, at the funeral home with Rev. Coy Sample officiating and Karen Parker singing. Burial will follow at Morning Star Cemetery.

Barentine, Pauline E. Caruth - Pauline E. Caruth Barentine, 73, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away May 2, 2011, at home with her family. She was born October 25, 1937, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to the late Jack and Jane Winter Caruth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Everett Barentine; a grandson, Joseph L. Barentine; a sister, Jill Caruth; her grandparents, Paul and Sadie Caruth and F.E. and Maude Winter; and stepfather, Lawrence E. Powell.
Polly is survived by one son, M. Everett Barentine, Jr.; two daughters, Julie Fisher (Phil) and Rebecca Guthrie; three grandchildren, Donald “Skid” Byrum (Tara), Summer Byrum and Chase Henson, Neil Fisher (Cyndi), Brandi Fisher; three great-grandchildren, Makalin Byrum, Neila Fisher and Marcus Fisher; one sister, Suzi Irwin (Buzz); one brother, Paul Caruth (Julie); and “the kids,” Clyde, Pete, Missy, Cupcake, Scooter and Kooch.
Polly had a long career in the nursing profession, which she loved dearly.
She was always full of energy and curiosity. She may be remembered for her love of hummingbirds, the sound of a Harley, and Shawmut, as all these things held a special place in her heart.
There will be no services, but a private committal will be at a later date.
Her family would like to recognize Polly’s respect for Wendell Workman and staff at National Park Pharmacy, Dr. John Bond and Dr. Fred Divers.

Barker, Paula Helen Melonas - Brandon, Mississippi - Pauline Helen Melonas Barker, 79, of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2008, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, Mississippi.
Mrs. Barker was born on October 5, 1928, in Hot Springs, to the late Mr. and Mrs. John and Irene Melonas. She lived several years in Anniston, Alabama. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Melonas Johnson.
Mrs. Barker is survived by her two daughters, Mary Kobeck and Janet Russell, both of Brandon; her son, John Barker, of Olive Branch, Mississippi; and one grandchild, Andrew Russell, of Starkville, Mississippi.
Private funeral services will be held at a later date.

Batterton, Opal Chitwood Grisham – Opal Grisham Batterton, 94, of Hot Springs died Thursday, September 23, 2004, in a nursing home. Born July 25, 1910, at Hot Springs to James A. and Margaret Florence Harrison Chitwood, she was Baptist. She was predeceased by two husbands, Allen R. Grisham and Elbert Batterton; one daughter, Charlotte Hurst; one sister, Jewell McCowan; and one stepson, Howard Batterton. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Iris Grisham of Hot Springs and Dan S. and Retta Grisham of Steilacoom, Washington; one son-in-law, Elmer Overton Hurst of Little Rock; one stepdaughter-in-law, June Batterton of Hot Springs; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews. The service will be 10 a.m. Monday in Gross Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Tony Ellis officiating. Baugh, Monte Venoy - Monte Venoy Baugh, 64, of Hot Springs died Wednesday, November 11, 1998, at John L. McClellan Memorial VA Hospital.
Born August 14, 1934, in Hot Springs, he was a 1954 Hot Springs High School graduate. A retired U.S. Army Major, he completed Basic Training at Fort Chafe, attended Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Georgia, served with the 11th Airborne in Kentucky, at Fort Rucker, Alabama, and Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, and did three tours in Vietnam. He was awarded the Parachutist Badge, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with five Bronze Service Stars, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Purple Heart, Combat Infantrymans Badge with a Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation and Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Bronze Star.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Cordiale Baugh; two daughters and sons-in-law, Angela Baugh Campbell and Mike Campbell and Allison and David Brown, all of Hot Springs; five grandchildren, Anna K. Brown, Grace Ann Brown, Will D. Brown, Michael S. Baugh and Rebekah Baugh; his father and other-in-law, Anthony and Virginia Cordiale; one sister and brother-in-law, Mike and Gina Foshee; a sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Bill Gist; a brother, Charles Beilstien; three nieces; four nephews; two great-nephews; and one great-niece.

Bearfield, Imogene Arnold - Imogene Bearfield, 76, of Hazel Crest, Illinois, formerly of Hot Springs, died Sunday, May 20, 2007.
She was born April 17, 1931, at Pearcy to Dewey "D. L." Arnold and Carrie Coleman Arnold.  She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Bearfield, and three brothers, Leslie Arnold, Loal Arnold and Bill Arnold.
Survivors include one brother, Jerrel Arnold of Hot Springs; one sister, Ercel Teal of Hot Springs; one niece; and two nephews.

Beasley, Genevee "Jenny" Green – Genevee “Jenny” Green Beasley, 60, of Hot Springs, died Thursday, October 19, at a Fayetteville hospital. A native of Hot Springs, she was a registered nurse. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Jones. Survivors include her husband, Max Beasley of Hot Springs; two daughters, Becky Denison of Little Rock and Anna McCraw of Fayetteville; two sons, Max Beasley II and Mark Beasley, both of Fayetteville; one sister, Barbara Arnold of Troy, Missouri; one brother, Bill Green of Hot Springs; 2 grandchildren; and 7 nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Hot Springs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brian Disney of Fayetteville officiating. Beasley, Sidney Max - Sidney "Max" Beasley, 78, of Fayetteville died Wednesday, March 12, 2008. He was born August 29, 1929, to Edward L. and Florence Meyers Beasley. He was retired from Alcoa Co. and was a retired real estate broker. He was a member of Grand Avenue United Methodist Church in Hot Springs and was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Genevee Beasley, and his second wife, Helen Goforth. Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca J. Denison of Little Rock and Anna J. McCraw of Fayetteville; two sons, Max Beasley of Fayetteville and Mark Beasley of Springdale; a brother, Ed Beasley of Little Rock; and a sister, Judy Cole of Hot Springs. Beckwith, Bonnie Lou Corder - Bonnie Lou Beckwith, 70, of Hot Springs, died Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at home.
Born November 5, 1935, at Hot Springs to Orval Sim and Oma "Sis" Brown Corder, she was a retired Arkansas Highway Department secretary and member of Leonard Street Baptist Church. She was predeceased by one brother, Jack Corder.
Survivors include one son, Harrell Beckwith of Hot Springs; two sisters, Betty Wilson of Gonzales, Texas, and Brenda Short of Russellville; three grandchildren, Jason Beckwith, Julie King and Elizabeth Beckwith; and two great-grandchildren.
The service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Lynn Wilson officiating.

Berry, Rosalyn Carole Musil - Rosalyn "Carole" Berry, age 71, of Hot Springs, died Saturday, November 22, 2014.
She was born on July 25, 1943, at Hot Springs, the daughter of Frederick Joseph "Teepaw" Musil and Rosalyn Marie "Rosie" Woodruff Musil.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Frederick Joseph Musil Jr.
Carole lived her life as a caring mother and wife, supporting her family and friends to the best of her ability. She was especially devoted to supporting her grandchildren through school and in meeting life's challenges. She taught us to live above the struggles that life can sometimes bring. She showed, by example, how to love and that happiness is the most important thing in life.
Carole always led an active lifestyle and was an avid water skier from childhood. She was described as flying like a bird across the water. She loved organizing and record keeping.
A 1961 graduate of Hot Springs High School, she was the chief typist for the 1961 Old Gold Book and secretary for a number of academic clubs. Carole was also a T-Stepper for all three years of high school. She attended the University of Arkansas and Henderson State Teachers College.
Further developing her love of record keeping and customer service, she worked as a bank teller at First Federal Savings and Loan and First National Bank of Hot Springs. She also worked in the money room, on the line, and game room at Oaklawn Race Track where she retired in 2013. Carole was one of the pioneering women at Oaklawn when she started in 1971. It was only the second year that women worked the line as a mutual clerk. She was also co-owner of four mobile home parks and other rental property in Hot Springs.
She is survived by her husband, Ancil Lee Berry of Hot Springs; two sons, Karl Kuhn and his wife, Yadira, of Huntsville, Alabama, and Tracy Kuhn and Sharon Fellers of Arkadelphia; her grandchildren, Cameron Kuhn, Courtney Kuhn, Katherine Kuhn, Korbin Kuhn and Kristina Kuhn; her brother, Robert Mark Musil of Oceanside, California; her brother-in-law, Don Berry of Hot Springs; and three sisters-in-law, Wanda Otwell of Bryant, Brenda Henson of Little Rock and Sharion Pipkins of Pearcy.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 26, 2014, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Black, Bonnie Nicksic Branch - Bonnie Black, of Pacific Palisades, California, passed away peacefully on July 3,2008, at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica, at the age of 76.
Bonnie was born in South Chicago, Indiana, and moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas, in 1946.  She is the daughter of Peter and Mildred Nicksic, of Hot Springs.  Bonnie was a graduate of the University of Arkansas and was crowned Miss Arkansas in 1952.  Following that, she was a model for the Patricia Stevens Agency in Chicago.  Bonnie married Robert Branch in 1956.
Bonnie was a successful realtor in Pacific Palisades and Beverly Hills for 30 years and also spent many years judging beauty pageants in several states.  Bonnie was an active member of the WAIF as well as other community charitable organizations.  She was a devoted member of St. Matthew's Parish in Pacific Palisades.  Bonnie married Charles Black in 1982.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Charles Black; her beloved mother, Mildred Nicksic, of Hot Springs; daughter, Laura Branch Rehnert, of Weston, Massachusetts; son, Peter Branch, of Westchester, California; five grandchildren; and three stepsons.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Luke's Episcopal School - Debt Reduction Campaign, P.O. Blanco, Joanne [Joe Ann] Ault - Passed with loved ones by her side on November 16, 2008.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Ramon; children, Patrick (Amy), Edward (Aurora), Joni (Alan), John, Ray and Todd; grandchildren Britni, Ivan, Joey, Tony, Justin, Tony, Matt, James; her brother Harold and Dolores Ault; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rena Merriott Gilchrist and Edward Lee Ault; brother Faulda Ault; sister Anita Ward; and brother-in-law Benny Blanco. Bonner, Betty Marie - Betty Marie Bonner, 75, of Hot Springs died Friday, June 16, 2006, in a local nursing home.
She was born May 19, 1931, at Hot Springs.
The service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Cemetery with Brother Billy Kitchens officiating.

Bosson, Evelyn Marie Sanders - Evelyn Marie Bosson passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Little Rock on Feb. 13, 2011. She was the daughter of Ed and Pat Sanders and was born on January 26, 1938, in Hot Springs.
She was a graduate of Hot Springs High School and Henderson State College. She taught school at Mountain Pine and St. John's Catholic School. Marie married Paul Bosson and shortly after the marriage they moved to Mobile, Alabama, where they had two children, Richard Bosson, now deceased, and Michele Montgomery who resides in Bartlett, Tennessee, with her husband, Bobby Montgomery.
Marie and Paul divorced but remained close friends. Julie Bosson, her daughter-in-law, assisted Marie for many years. Both Michele and Paul were with Marie at the time of her death.
Visitation was Tuesday from 5-6 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 6 p.m. at Gross Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today in The Catholic Church of St. John the Baptist.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Braughton, Vernon Eugene – Vernon Eugene “Gene” Braughton, 59, a lifelong resident of Hot Springs, died Thursday, October 11 in Hot Springs. He was a retired chemist with Reynolds Aluminum Co., most recently teaching math at Quapaw Vo-Tech. Braughton graduated from Hot Springs High School, attended Southern Methodist University and graduated from Henderson State University. He was a veteran of the US Army. He sang in the Grass Roots Opera in Raleigh, North Carolina, and studied music locally with Marjorie Lawrence. He was a member of Grand Avenue United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Sue Braughton of Hot Springs; two sons, Kevin and Brad Braughton, both of Fayetteville; one daughter, Allison Ramsey of Little Rock; his mother, Ruth Braughton; two sisters, Barbara Baber and Laura Beth White, all of Hot Springs. Services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Gross Funeral Home chapel with Jack Smith and the Revs. Jim Keith and Joe Wilkerson officiating. Pallbearers will be Tommy Robertson, Bob Curtin, Larry Braughton, Terry McLarty, Phillip Baber and Joe Fish. Honorary pallbearers are the faculty at Quapaw Vo-Tech school. Breckenridge, C. Gerald "Jerry" - C. G. “Jerry” Breckenridge, 77, Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014. He was born February 17, 1937, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to the late Erna Cletis and Mable Breckenridge. Jerry was a University of Arkansas golf scholar and was senior vice-president and bank manager in Hot Springs for over forty years. Jerry was also a second lieutenant in the United States Army and was a member of First United Methodist Church. Jerry was an avid golfer. He was a beloved father, grandfather, husband and friend.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Alice Ann Breckenridge.
Jerry is survived by his son, Kenneth Breckenridge; daughter Ellen Kay Meadows; sister Carma Lynn Herron and grandchildren Matthew Breckenridge, Jack Breckenridge, Megan Meadows, Casey Breckenridge and Sam Breckenridge.

Bright, Charles E. - Charles E. Bright, 67, of Hot Springs died Sunday, March 6, 2005, at home. He was born April 30, 1937, in Hot Springs, the son of Floyd E. and Myrtle Brown Bright. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was married September 12, 1958, to Oleta Nichols. Charles was a member of Hot Springs Baptist Church where he served on the grounds crew. He was a member of Hot Springs Cruisers Car Club and the Christian Motorcyclists Association. He enjoyed gospel music. He was a retired highway route contractor for the U. S. Postal Service. He is survived by his wife, Oleta Nichols Bright; two sons, Randy Bright and his wife Elizabeth, and Greg Bright and his wife Linda; three grandchildren, Ben, John and Beth Bright all of Hot Springs; one sister, Anita Walton of Hot Springs; one niece, Cherri Taylor of New Bern, North Carolina; and one sister-in-law, Doris Brown of Benton and many friends. Broadbent, Blanche Irene Keith - Blanche Irene Keith Broadbent, 79, of Pearcy, Arkansas, was born June 10, 1931, to Marvin Edgar Keith and Ruby Jane Thomason Keith at DeRoche, near Bismarck, Arkansas; she passed away February 24, 2011.
She was predeceased by her parents and one brother, Millard Edgar Keith. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Arthur Broadbent, Jr., and three loving and devoted sons; Arthur (Chip) Broadbent III, of Norfolk, Virginia, Charles Edward Broadbent and wife, Paula, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Richard Erik Broadbent and wife, Jennifer, of Wichita, Kansas. Three adorable grandchildren, Andrew, son of Charles and Paula, and Alexis and Aiden, children of Richard and Jennifer; one very special sister and brother-in-law, Alice Keith Collier and Martin Collier; one special niece, Alison Collier Fendley, and nieces Susan Broadbent Wilkerson and Carol Broadbent Koster; and special nephews, James Collier, Mark Keith, David Keith, Paul Keith, Stuart Keith and John Broadbent. She has three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Broadbent Carney of Fiskdale, Massachusetts, Diane Harris Broadbent of San Bernardino, California, and Carletta Solomon Keith of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by one aunt, Mary Anna Keith Kinnaird, of Hot Springs, and by several cousins. A nephew, Alan Keith, of Houston, Texas, and an aunt, June Burgess Keith of Hot Springs, Arkansas, are deceased.
Mrs. Broadbent graduated with honors from Hot Springs High School in 1949 and from Henderson State Teachers College in 1953. While at HSTC, she was named by the faculty as one of the ten top students of the freshman class of 1949-50. She began her teaching career at Glenwood High School in Glenwood, Arkansas. In 1953 she married 2nd Lt. Arthur Broadbent, Jr.; they were assigned to Biggs AFB in El Paso, Texas. While there Mrs. Broadbent taught at Bowie High School. The couple returned to Hot Springs in 1956 where Mrs. Broadbent taught at Hot Springs High School. In 1957 she began teaching at Lakeside High School and Lakeside Elementary. After Lt. Broadbent was called back into service in 1962, Mrs. Broadbent taught at Keeseville High School in Keeseville, New York and Peru Central School in Peru, New York. After her husband’s retirement from the Air Force, the family returned to Hot Springs in 1976. Mrs. Broadbent again taught at Lakeside Elementary and retired from Lake Hamilton Elementary in 1996 with a total of 28 years of teaching.
Mrs. Broadbent was a charter member of the South Hot Springs Business and Professional Womens’ Club in 1956-57. She is a member of the Garland County Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of Second Baptist Church for many years and is now a member of Crossgate Church.

Brooks, Sue Nooner - Sue Nooner Brooks passed away Friday November 30, 2012. She was born September 5, 1932, to Ruby and Elihue Nooner in Benton, Arkansas. She was predeceased by her parents; her brother, R. C. Nooner; her aunt, Jewel Meredith Muse; and her daughter, Crystal Suzonne Brooks.
She was a former member of Second Baptist Church and a present member of Hot Springs Baptist Church. She was a member of the Melting Pot Genealogical Society and a graduate of Hot Springs High School Class of 1950.
Sue is survived by three sons, Randy Brooks and his wife Karen, Brian Brooks, Greg Brooks and his wife Tamara; three granddaughters, Lauren, Whitney and Madison Brooks; two grandsons, Alex and Steven Brooks.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Kirby Stough, Mark Yates, Richard Meredith, Bradley Stillman, Steven Brooks, Alex Brooks and Jeff Grisham.

Brown, Belva Jean - Belva Jean Brown, 77, of Hot Springs died January 26, 2009. She was born October 8, 1931, in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Herbert G. and Rose V. Sanders Brown. She worked as a secretary for Entergy for 25 years.
Belva is predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her brother, Warren E. Brown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, her sister Betty Irons of Hot Springs, Arkansas, her Aunt, Frances Brown of Hot Springs, Arkansas and several cousins.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2009, at Memorial Gardens in Hot Springs.

Brown, James Allen - James Allen Brown, age 79, passed away Friday, August 17, 2012, in Little Rock. He was born March 21, 1933, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to the late Mary and Pete Brown. He graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1950, attended Henderson State Teachers College and graduated from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He received his law degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law at Little Rock, a masters’ degree from Indiana University and attained his certification as a CPA. After Allen’s retirement as a special agent in the Criminal Investigation Division of the Internal Revenue Service, he opened his law office and practiced tax law for over twenty years.
Allen is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Bernardine Glover Brown, son Brian Allen Brown of Little Rock and daughter, Christy Brown Silva (and husband, Wilson) of The Woodlands, Texas, grandchildren, Morgan and Tyler Silva, and sister-in-law, Mildred L. Glover, of Little Rock.
Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Little Rock on Monday, August 20, 2012, at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m. at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, (501)224-8300, with Dr. Gary Hollingsworth officiating. Visitation will follow the service.
