My 2nd cousin 3 times removed was born on 1 March 1909 and baptised on 6 April 1909 in Swinton . His father was a miner of 66 Bridge Street(APR) This agrees with a GRO index entry. (GRO ref Rotherham 9c 867 Jun 1909)

Leonard married Alice Gill on 9 June 1930 at the parish church of Mexborough after banns. He was aged 21, a bachelor and a miner of 49 Brookfield Avenue, Swinton. His father was also a miner. Alice was aged 20, a spinster and of 21 Glasshouse Lane, Mexborough. Her father was George Gill, a miner. Witnesses were Frank Wild Hewson and Mary Alice White. Alice GILL (1910 -)
She was born in 1910, the daughter of George Gill, a coal miner.
