Swain Cemetery

Swain, Newton County, Arkansas

Transcribed March 24, 2001

By Robert & Rosa Cline

One mile from Edwards Junction on Highway 16. The cemetery is located beside the Swain Masonic Lodge building.

I am trying to collect as many obituaries as I can for these people so if anyone has one and would like to share it with me I would appreciate it.  Or if someone sees that I have one that you would like e-mail me and I'll share.  Thanks, Robert and Rosa Cline

NOTE:  I have an obit for Harry W. Carlton, who was born June 21, 1922, to Joseph Rastus and Iva Harriet Thomas Carlton.  And who died Sept. 6, 1999, and is supposed to be buried at Swain Cemetery.  If he is, there is no marker for him.  I just happen to have his obituary.

The index precedes the actual headstone transcriptions. Use your browser’s “find” feature to locate specific surname(s).
