Jasper Childers

Henry Jasper Childers, age 73, of Hermitage, Arkansas, died October 13, 1994, at Pine Lodge Nursing Home in Warren.

Born April 10, 1921 in Calhoun County, he was the son of the late Henry Madison Childers and Sarah Catherine Huitt Childers. He was a retired sawyer and millwright for Potlatch Corporation and Rogers Lumber Company, and a World War II veteran.

Survivors are 1 daughter, Sarah Renea Whiteside of Fordyce, 2 brothers, Garland C. Childers of Hampton and Burl S. Childers of Fordyce; and 3 grandchildren.

Funeral services were Saturday, October 15, at 2 p.m. at Union Hill Baptist Church in Ingalls with Rev. James Ray Raines and Rev. Vernon Colvin officiating.

Charles Cauley was pianist and soloist.

Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery by Frazer�s Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were Marvin Childers, James Wright, Travis Ivey, Ervin Henry, Ralph Richards, and Leroy Jones.
