Whitsn Place Cemetery is located at T17S R8W S7. This cemetery is located some 28 miles North of the intersection of the Hwy 82 & Hwy 69 intersection in Northport , Al  ½ mile to the left off Hwy 69 on Tuscaloosa County Road # 46.

Susan Frances Whitson was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Whitson and Rebecca Ann Stanley.  She married Marion Hamner (son of John A. Hamner and mary Amanda Rose) 22 February 1872 and had four children: 1. Walter b. 1872 married Margaret Shepherd 2. Noah Webster (Webb) b. 1874 never married died about 1900 3. Mary Etta b. 1875 married Lynn Waldrop no children and Amanda married an Akin.  It is believed that Webb is buried here.  Marion Hamner remarried to Chelsey Ann Smith.  Grandparents where James S. William Tony Whitson was the son of Thomas Jefferson Whitson and Rebecca Ann Stanley.  He married Sarah Francis Baker (daughter of James Charles Baker and Sarah Frances Appling) 27 January 1870.   One son Willie died as a youth and is believe buried here. John Wheeler Whitson was the son of Thomas Jefferson Whitson and Rebecca Ann Stanley.  He married Sarah B. Lollar (daughter of Hugh Gaunt Lollar Jr. and Nancy Bagwell) 13 November 1872. John married Nancy Sis Bagwell (daughter of Wiley George Bagwell and Euphamey Lollar) 3 October 1880. None of their children would be buried here.  Grandparents where James S.
