was the son of Cyrus ARLEDGE and Lucy FEATHERSTON. John F. left
Lawrence County for Houston County, Texas around 1852 when his
father died. John's wife was Harriett E. JONES, and they had 13

My gt-gt-gt-grandfather was one Nathaniel Guthrie who died ca. 1832
whereabouts unknown, but probably in NW Alabama. I believe he moved from
Halifax Co., Virginia about 1815-1820. He probably lived for a while in
Lauderdale Co., Alabama. He had as least two sons. One, born about
1801, John Guthrie evidently lived and died(1870) in Alabama, but all of
his descendants moved to Oklahoma around 1890. The second son William
Guthrie (b. 1818) lived most of his live in Colbert Co., Alabama. His
grave is in the Margarum Cemetery. John lived during the 1840's, 50's
and 60's. I need information about Nathaniel especially his parents.

James Trott. He was born on July 22,1884 in Pullman, Illinois. He
joined the United States Navy on September 13, 1907, as a machinist's
mate 2nd class in Chattanooga and was transferred to the USS Franklin on
the same date. On October 28, 1907 he was transferred to USS Virginia.
His military id # was 157-39-92. This is all the information I have. If
someone could even give me some direction it would be appreciated.

Looking for parents of William D. Webb who first married Margaret

was born in 1820s in AL according to census. I believe his parents may
have been George and Susan Webb as William had children name of George
and Susan. William D. Webb lived in MS during Civil War and joined a
Mississippi State Cavalry unit either in Itawamba or Tishomingo County.

It is believed that he was born under another name and took the Blair

AL, he married Louisa TERRY, July 4, 1886, Lawerence County, AL. Family

Researching Evans and Knight families of Lawrence County, AL.
A Nick Evans married Josephine Knight in Lawrence Co during
1880's. Had three boys, Elmer, Thomas Richard, and John Jackson
Evans. Nick died in 1890's,and Josephine evently married her
brother-in-law, Bill Martin and left her boys to be raised by
others in her family, the Knights. Her father was Good Knight.
Trying to find who Nick Evan's father was. The only Nick Evans
on census was a seven year on the 1870 census with his mother,
Nancy Evans, no father's name. Any assistance would be apprec-

Joseph GIBERT DELASHAW b. 1808 in Abbeville, SC was a member of a
Huguenot family. His great-grandfather Jacob DELLECHAUX immigrated into
Charleston, SC in 1768. Joseph Gibert Delashaw married in Pickens co, SC
and obtained land in Jefferson co, AL in about 1830. He and his wife
Rebecca KEITH lived near her relatives at Argo, Jefferson co, AL.
Eventually, Joseph and Rebecca moved to Lawrence co, AL, living near
Moulton. He died in 1884 and is buried in the present Bankhead National

Sarah Williams Neal was a widow in 1840 Lauderdale Co. Al. and I think
Nicholas had been her husband.

born 1831 Al. They went on to Monroe Co. Ms. by 1850.
Nicholas Neal mar. Sarah Williams 1813 in Williamson Co. Tn. and the
document was signed by Julian Neal/Nail(spelled both ways on document)

I am researching the DUTTON families of Lawrence and Morgan Counties, Alabama. Zachariah Dutton of Charles Co, MD and Granville Co, NC had a number of sons, most of which came to Alabama and settled in this area: William, John, Zachariah, Alexander, Samuel, Jarrett, Stephen, and Edmund. I am descended from William who married Mary HOGAN, dau of James HOGAN. He was born ca. 1777 and died ca. 1855. Any information on any of these lines would be greatly appreciated.

ROBERSON I am looking for information on the ROBERSON family of Lawrence Co. William Roberson (married to Telitha) lived in Pulaski, Giles Co., TN and his children were born there. Mary E. Stovall in Lawrence county, Alabama on 2/2/1871 according
to the book "Life and Legend of Lawrence County Alabama" by
Dorothy Gentry. He also appears on the 1880 U.S. Census for
Lawrence county along with his wife Mary, their daughters Pollie,
Martha and Leathala, their son William and his brother-in-law
James Stovall.

Henry and Julia Burress/Burris were in Lawrence Co. AL according
to an obit of one of their children. Would like to know her maiden
name. Where are they buried? Henry was born ca 1820 in TN married
by 1840. Julia was born ca 1826 in TN.
James Henry Cotton was born 12/8/1850 in AL, possibly Lawrence Co.
since he is there in 1870. He died 12/20/1928. He married Nancy
Whitman born 9/30/1847. I would like to know her maiden name.
She also lists being born in AL. They are in Lawrence Co. in the
1870's. They later move to McNairy Co., TN. On his death records
it lists his mother was a Miss Leflore.
Daniel McAlister purchased land in Lawrence Co., near Moulton
in 1818. Several of his sons were also landowners in Lawrence
Co., William, James, Mathew, Daniel J.. Daniel's only daughter,
Nancy married Aaron Crosthwaite and remained in Lawrence Co.
Most of the McAlister's left Lawrence County about 1830 with the
exception of Mathew and his three sons, who stayed there until the
mid-1840's when they moved to Tyler County, Texas. I am interested
in any info on Daniel's son James, whom I believe to be my
g-g-grandfather.
