WINBOURN CEMETERY

Surveyed by Orlan Irons, 10 Jan 1991

To reach this cemetery from Florence, turn off AL 20 (Savannah Highway) onto Lauderdale 14 (Waterloo Road); go 5.5 miles and turn left on Lauderdale 15; go .05 mile and turn right on a gravel road, going beside a cotton gin; go to lot on back side of gin. There is a small clump of trees with about 3 large cedars around the cemetery. It is 0.2 mile to the cemetery from the paved road Lauderdale 15. The cemetery has a real old iron fence around the 5 markers that are in the cemetery. This is probably all of the people that are buried here, except for one marker leaning against the fence that does not have any engraving on it. This cemetery is not listed on the 1987 Lauderdale County Highway Map, but is listed on some older maps. The legal description is NE4, NE4, Sec 33, T2S, R12W.
