COURTHOUSE: The Probate Judge's office or record room is the repository of the major portion of the original records that interest a genealogist. This includes wills, estates, inventories, deeds, marriages, etc.  To obtain records from this office, WRITE, do not phone, to the address below.  They must have a written request. Charges are $1.00 for each exposure; $3.00 more to certify the document. Include as much information as possible. For example, if you are asking about a will, give as full a name as possible, and an exact date of death. If an exact date is not possible, give an estimated year. If you already know book and page numbers, by all means, use it.
