Marion Bannister Woyshnar, 90, resident of Mountain Rest Nursing Home, formerly a resident of Albright Avenue, died Sat afternoon at the nursing home. Her husband Norman C died in 1959. Born in Scranton on 8 Sep 1910, daughter of the late Arthur & Ann Gerrity (sic) Bannister. Lackawanna Business College, Scranton State Hospital School of Nursing, Scranton Conservatory of Music... Private duty nurse until retirement & accomplished pianist. Former member of St John's Episcopal Church & superintendent of its Sunday School. Survived by a son, Norman H of Irwin; a daughter, Debbie Cody with whom she formerly resided; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; nieces, nephews & cousins. Preceded in death by a son, Jack M; a sister Lillian [Craig]; six brothers, twins, Alfred & Rudolph; Arthur, Frank, Charles & Harold Bannister. Funeral Wed from the Edward J Chomko Funeral Home, 254-268 Railroad Ave; St Luke's Episcopal Church, celebrated by the Rev Howard Stringfellow; Abington Hills Cemetery.

Martin Woyshner (sic), 49, died yesterday in the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia from uremia. Survived by a wife and eight children. One of the first Polish settlers in South Scranton, he first worked in the mines, then opened a grocery store & later branched into other lines of business. Reverses compelled him to retire from business & he gave his whole time to acting as an interpreter in the courts, a position much in demand. He could speak German, French, Polish, Lituish (sic) & Slovak. His ability brought him a good position in government service and he moved to Philadelphia, where he was connected with the immigration bureau, about 15 years ago.

Norman C Woyshnar, 53, of 908 Albright Ave, died yesterday afternoon at his home following a year's illness. Native of Philadelphia, he lived in Scranton 48 yrs. Son of the late Martin & Alvina Garbala Woyshnar, he graduated from Mehoopany HS & was employed 26 yrs as a hydraulic press operator for Consolidated Moulded Products. Member of St John's Episcopal Church Robert Burns Lodge, Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Survived by his wife, the former Marion Bannister; a daughter, Deborah at home; two sons, Norman H & Jack, at home; two sisters, Miss Clara of Scranton & Mrs Martin Distalo of New Rochelle, NY; several nieces & nephews. Funeral Monday from the Snowdon FH, 1810 Sanderson Ave; St John's Church; Abington Hills, Cemetery.
