Barbara Petrunich Schilinski, 61, of 219 Hammond Ave, Slovan, died Mon, 11 Aug 1975 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born 14 July 1914 in Etna. She was a member of the Polish Women's Alliance of Slovan and of the Ladies Auxiliary of Burgettstown VFW Post 6955. Surviving are her husband, Benjamin Schilinski; three sons, Benjamin Jr of Sacramento, CA, and Adolph & John of Slovan; six daughters, Mrs Barbara Moran of Germany, Mrs Sylvia Moriarity of Chicago, IL, Mrs Rosalie Griffith of Tulsa, OK, Mrs Francine Niedzialkia and Mrs Denise Rossi, both of Slovan, and Mrs. Karen Castanino of Chicago, IL; 18 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs Ann Schilinski of Palm Bay, FL; Mrs Catherine Esno of Slovan and Mrs Mildred DePaul of Joffre. George P Hayden Funeral Home, 261 Erie Mine Rd, Burgettstown. Funeral Thurs, 14 Aug at 10:00 am. Interment, Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.

John Schilinski, 77, of 8100 Blandford Dr, Manasses, VA, formerly of Allison Ave, Houston, died Fri 28 Feb 1992 in Prince William Co Hospital, Manassas. He was born 9 Jan 1915 in Hegler, IL, a son of Adolph & Mary Yonis Schilinski. He was employed as a winder's helper at the former McGraw Edison plant in Canonsburg, retiring in 1977 and was a member of the United Steel Workers Union. Attended United Methodist Church in Meadowlands & the former Union High School in Burgettstown. Member of the American Legion post 902 in Houston & VFW Post 191 of Canonsburg. First Commander of the Barto VFW in Slovan. Served with the US Army in Panama and the European Theater in WWII and received a battlefield commission. Also awarded the Bronze Star for valor. On 10 Fen 1950 he married Elsie Jayne Criquellion who survives.Also surviving are a son, Paul Bryon of Manassas and a sister, Adeline Florio of Slovan. Deceased are six brothers, Thomas, Joseph, Edward, Bryne, Andrew, & Benjamin; and two sisters who died in infancy.

Helen Schilinski, 82, of Slovan, died Monday, July 27, 1998, in her home. She was born August 15, 1915, in Providence, R.I., a daughter of John and Ann Yountis Smith. Mrs. Schilinski was a homemaker. Surviving are a sister, Agnes McClelland of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are her husband, Joseph Schilinski, who died October 10, 1975; three brothers, Mickey, John and Stanley Smith; and three sisters, Ann Crable, Jennie O'Neal and Evelyn Glunda.

Sophie Schilinski, 90, of Slovan, died Wednesday, November 4, 1998, in Washington County Health Center. She was born December 25, 1907, in Manifold, a daughter of Anthony and Frances McNatch. Mrs. Schilinski was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Burgettstown. Surviving are a son, Thomas A. Schilinski of Slovan; a daughter, Florence Visnich of Slovan; a sister, Helen Nightengale of Irondale, Ohio; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Deceased are her husband, Thomas Schilinski, who died in 1976; and three sisters, Anna Yorkin, Josephine Kopp and Hattie Smith.
