Catherine "Kay" M Kelleher Kingdom, West Scranton, died Sunday evening in the VNA hospice unit of the Community Medical Center after a brief illness. She was the widow of Joeph Kingdom, who died 19 Feb 1969. Born in New York City, daughter of the late Patrick and Katherine O'Malley Kelleher, she made her residence in Scranton at an early age and was educated in Scranton public schools. She formerly was employed in the housekeeping department of Scranton State General Hospital until her retirement in 1988. Surviving are two daughters, Estelle Doherty, Douglasville; and Jacqueline Honick, Old Forge; a son, Joseph, Scranton; five grandchildren, a great grandson, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis, and a twin sister, Patricia Kelleher. The funeral will be Thurs from the Carl J Savino Funeral Home, 157 S. Main Ave, with mass at 9:30 am at St Patrick's Church. Internment Cathedral Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St Patrick's Kitchen.

Mrs. Harry Kingdom of 211 N Garfield Ave, one of West Scranton's well known women, died suddenly this morning of a heart attack. Mrs. Kingdom was a native of STS, England. In her early young womanhood she came to America and made her home in West Scranton ever since. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Harry Jr, five grandchildren and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Polly Preston, Mrs James Keenan, George and John Evans, all of England. The funeral will take place Thursday afternoon with services in St David's Episcopal Church. Interment Washburn St Cemetery.

Joseph H Kingdom, 46, of 544 N Sumner Ave, husband of the former Catherine Kelleher, died Weds in State General Hospital after an illness. Born in this city, a son of the late Harry and Nora Holleran Kingdom, he was an army veteran of WWII, having served in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of St Patrick's Church. Mr Kingdom was a baker fore the Williams Baking Co 26 years. Other survivors include two daughters, Estelle and Jacqueline, at home; two sons, Sp 4 Joseph, stationed with the army in Korea, and Dennis, at home; two sisters, Mrs Enos Slocum, this city, and Mrs Louis Warren, Lyndhurst, NJ; a brother, William, Lake Parsippany, NJ, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Saturday from the Vanston Funeral Home, 142 S Main Ave, with mass at 9:30 am in St Patrick's Church. Internment, Cathedral Cemetery.

Mrs Margaret Kingdom, 96, died Tues after an illness at the home of her daughter, Mrs MR Connerton, 432 Fig St, with whom she resided. She was the widow of William Kingdom. Born in Birmingham, England, daughter of the late Michael & Marion Bath Gerrity (sic), she lived in Scranton more than 70 years. She lived in West Scranton before moving to the home of her daughter fifteen months ago. She was a member of St Patrick's Church, its Altar and Rosary Society, and the Convent Guild. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs Ralph E Fries of Moscow; Mrs Joseph Sample of Dunmore, Mrs Everett Richards of Clifton, NJ & Mrs Connerton; a son, Richard of Scranton; a sister, Mrs HJ O'Connell of Dunmore; 23 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. The funeral will be from the Vanston Funeral Home, 142 S Main Ave with mass at St Patrick's Saturday at 9:30. Interment, St Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow.

(in the West Side news section) Mrs Salina Kingdom, 81, 120 N Main Ave, died last night following a brief illness. Born in England and a resident of West Scranton for the past 26 years. Survived by the following children: William H and Henry Kingdom, Mrs Charles Pobgee, and Mrs William Edwards of West Scranton; Richard Kingdom of Newark, NJ; Mrs John R Jones of Taylor; Mrs Jennie Parter of England; 40 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Funeral from the home Sunday afternoon with interment in the family plot in Washburn St Cemetery.

Tribute was paid yesterday to Mrs Salina Kingdom, whose funeral took place yesterday afternoon from the late home, 120 M Main Ave, when scores were in attendance. The esteem is which the deceased was held was attested by the wealth of flowers which filled the room in which her body reposed. Rev W R Sewell, pastor of St David's Episcopal Church, of which the deceased was a member, conducted the service. Tom Beynon sang a number of selections during the service, after which the cortege moved to Cathedral Cemetery, where burial was made. The casket bearers were Harry H Kingdom Jr, Arthur Kingdom, Harry Kingdom, Arthur Whitehouse, Arthur Pobgee, and William Edwards.
