Description of Associated Architecture

• Glennmary Manor House: home of the Glenn family on 1003 acres of farmland bordering the Dan River. Built of brick made by slaves on the place, and of lumber cut from the surrounding forests and seasoned in the river, the mansion rose two full stories over an English basement. Greek Revival style.
