History: Anderson, a slave at Bon Ridge Plantation, was a conspirator in the murder of the brutal overseer Duncan Skinner. A secret investigation led by Skinner's brother unraveled the plot. Anderson panicked and escaped to hide in a cotton gin at nearby Magnolia Plantation. He was eventually found and captured.
