Ponoka Seventh Day Adventist Church
Members of this church have lived in Ponoka County since the early 1900's but no dedicated church building was available until 1970. Pastor J.K. FISH was appointed to the Ponoka district but he fell ill with typhoid and was unable to continue. Church and Sabbath School were held in the homes of the EKLUND, COOK, McMILLEN, Flossie ANDERSON, Bill CRANDAL families as well as College Heights and later the St. Mary's Anglican Church Hall until the Dedication service was held for the new church building in 1970 which had formerly been the Lutheran Church in Ponoka.
Based on an excerpt from Ponoka Panorama, 1973
