On pg 63 of the book is the following note:

"There is one other Marriage record beside this containing Marriage Certificates and Licenses to Colored persons from 28th day of March 1866 to the 6th Day of June 1872 inclusive: W F Sanderson, Register of Deeds"

Personal Note: It's been a few years since I looked at the Marriage books at the courthouse and it seems to me that a separate marriage book was started for Free People of Color but I can't swear to it. It may be that the designation (Color) was no longer listed in Book A.
