MARSH CREEK SETTLERS--1743


1743-SETTLERS ON MARSH CREEK WHO OBSTRUCTED THE SURVEY:
Located on west side of Susquehanna River. Apparently a group of regular folks objected to Lord Baltimore's sending surveyors to their lands. The local citizens harrassed the surveyors, took their equipment (chain, compass, etc) and chased them away.
