"WHAT OLD TOMB STONES TELL US"

Early Residents of This Village Recalled by Inscriptions on Tomb Stones in Old Cemetery.

The Village Improvement Society has prepared the following list of names and dates on the stones in the Old Cemetery , beliving that many readers of the villiage papers, both in and out of town, may be interested therein.

Among them are some of more than passing interest as that of the daughter of the founder of this villiage; the first pastor of the Presbyterian Church, and others here given:

The president of the Village Improvement Society will be pleased to receive assistance in restoring these stones from descendants or other relatives of those buried in this cemetery. It is hoped that this place may be converted from disgrace and an eyesore, to a suitable resting place for the dead.
